Faith & Who-I-Am-in-CHRIST 2 Cor 10: 2-6

I beg you that when I come I may not have to be as bold as I expect to be toward some people who think that we live by the standards of this world. For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete.

Vs 2: we as Christians do not live according to worldly standards.

Vs 3: even though we live in this world, we don’t wage war as the world does.

Vs 4: the weapons we fight with are not worldly weapons. The weapons we use can demolish strongholds.

We don’t fight using countermeasures, guns, artillery, etc. We fight with the WORD, and Kingdom Mysteries. Just as the Rod was a Rod of miracles in Moses’ hand, so also the WORD is a Rod in our hands. The WORD is the Sword of the SPIRIT which Paul admonishes us to gird about our waist (:). We don’t wake up to a problem one day, and start searching the WORD. Usually, we are faced with situations demanding IMMEDIATE ATTENTION. That is not the time to start searching for the right Word. The right Word will be inspired by the HOLY SPIRIT- which you have studied and digested- and is written on the tablet of your heart. We receive the HOLY SPIRIT by studying the WORD, in the first place. Thus, studying the WORD is very important for our spiritual wellbeing.

We also fight invisible battles using Kingdom Mysteries. Like the anointing oil, the Holy Communion, feet washing, the mantle of the prophet, etc. Each mystery answers to various situations, and when applied in faith, will bring about wonders.

Vs 5: with the above mentioned weapons (the WORD & Kingdom Mysteries) we demolish every argument [of the devil and his cohorts] and pretensions that are contrary to GOD’s [spoke & written] WORD concerning our lives and destinies.
